Colour Creations - Berry Burst

This week the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! demonstrators are creating with much loved returned colour - Berry Burst, in our Colour Creations Blog Hop.    AWH Blog Header
Welcome, to my blog and I hope you enjoy visiting each of the wonderful creators on our blog hop tonight.

This evening I have a fun, simple design for you, with just a little bit of stamping, a single die-cut shape repeated, and a tiny bit of very simple fussy cutting - bringing you Unbounded Beauty Berry Burst Birdies!

Two of the birds (die cut circles) are glued to the base layer using Tombow liquid glue. The third bird is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Unbounded Beauty Berry Burst Birds - landscape cardOn this first Basic White Card base is a layer of Berry Burst card, embossed with the Zinnia 3D embossing folder. Then three die cut circles form the body of the birds. Wings are roughly fussy cut from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper.

The greeting is from a brand new stamp set in our Online Exclusives range: Sweetly Scripted stamp set. I've stamped it in Misty Moonlight on Basic White card.

My portrait version of this card uses a sheet of paper from the Thoughtful Journer 6"x 6" Designer Series Paper pack. And I have stamped the greeting vertically down the left hand side.

The leaves on the Bounded Beauty paper make such cute wings. They would also work really well as shabby chic butterflies!

Yes, you have made me laugh! I think these could work as puffer fish, as well! LOL. Love that scripty font, both on the banner and stamped vertically. The Berry Burst embossed background on your first card is really lovely, too.

Oh so cute Kathryn and yes your birdies have given me a huge smile. The DSP bodies and the cute leafy wings with their gorgeous expressions. Very creative and so much fun. xxx

Great cards Kathryn and I really love how you have used the Sweetly Scripted sentiments on both of the cards. And yes you did give me a chuckle with your quirky birds!

Your quirky birds are so cute, Kathryn, and certainly would bring a smile for anyone! Clever use of the leaves for the wings, very creative from the Arty Farmer. Love it.

Ros Davidson

I love the 3D sentiment on the first card. Great idea with the leaves for wings. Very clever.
