Colour Creations 2023-2024 - Boho Blue
May 03, 2023
Welcome to a whole new Stampin' Up! catalogue and a wonderful colour refresh!
We start the new round of Blog Hops with the new 2023-2025 In Colors, and this week we have a great new Blue!
My favourite new product suite is Zoo Crew, I love the fun images in the stamp set and dies, and the gorgeous coordinating Designer Series Paper. So today I have made two simple cards, with a bit of fussy cutting, and mixing and matching the Designer Series Paper with several other packs, to show off our lovely new Boho Blue.
The first card is a simple Z-fold card, where the front is folded back on itself, and I have layered it with a mixture of pieces. The Night of Navy scallop edge is cut with a die from the Zany Zoo Dies.
The cute star background DSP is from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack. The striped paper inside the card is from the Countryside Inn DSP pack.
The elephant and cute little scooting bunny are from the Zoo Crew DSP pack and I have added a touch of Boho Blue to the elephant's body using a water painter to pick up just a tiny bit of Boho Blue ink from the Classic Ink Pad. Both images are fussy cut using my trusty snips.
My second card is a basic landscape card, using Boho Blue card for the base, and more paper from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack for the background layers, over Night of Navy scallops.
This time, I die-cut the alligator from the Designer Series Paper. On both cards, the main image is mounted onto a die-cut rectangle using the Scalloped Contours Dies. Also on this card, I tested out the beautiful Boho Blue Textured Ribbon, across the middle of the card. Despite the texture, it has a lovely sheen.

I love the pale "greyness" of Boho Blue, when well diluted with water - perfect for the little elephant, Kathryn! You have made two very sweet, fun, cards. :)

Aww! Adorable! I'd totally overlooked this suite of products, but I really love what you've made with them. That elephant!!

Your fussy cutting is amazing, Kathryn and it really shows other ways of using the Zoo Crew DSP, as does your addition of a touch of Boho Blue via watercolouring to the elephant's body. Wonderful cards!

The elephant card is gorgeous with the fussy cut character and great choice of papers. Not so sure that I'm quite as keen on the alligator!

So sweet - the fun fold one is a perfect baby card with the DSP patterns you have chosen. Looks great how you have combined it with the Bright & Beautiful DSP too.

Two very cute cards using the Zoo Crew animals. Kathryn I love your water colouring on the elephant and the Z-fold card compliments the DSP and animals perfectly.
