Stampin' Up! Colour Discovery - Purple Posy
March 10, 2021
Hey everyone,
I am a little late posting my Colour Discovery tonight. I have been away for 6 days Farm-Sitting for a family member and even though I got home last night, today Meeowie had her annual vet check and I had a uni class in the afternoon AND I also made time to have snuggles with a very gorgeous baby boy! So special!
So, no, you haven't gone crazy, it is already after 10pm instead of my usual 8pm . . . !
This week I have such a sweet colour for you - and talking of babies, this colour is heavenly for a soft baby card.
What colour is it?
It's Purple Posy!
I've deliberately left a space on this card for the greeting, because while it would make a beautiful baby card, I think it would also be lovely for a little girl's birthday card and there is room for a large number - a 1, 2 or 3 - which I would stamp and die-cut and pop up with Dimensionals, as well as more than enough space for a rectangular greeting panel layered partially over the trim.
This is such a simple, yet versatile design, using various stitched rectangles and squares and limiting the colour palette to just Purple Posy, Basic White and Crumb Cake.
Purple Posy is one of the In Colors which will retire this year - I think I need to stock up on Stampin' Blends and that beautiful trim, as this is such a dear colour!
If you would like to see here what some of my lovely stamping friends have created with Purple Posy, I invite you to visit lovely Cathy's blog here she has the links to each of their projects.
See you soon!

Just adorable Kathryn and a smart idea to leave a space for a sentiment! I love this stamp set and those stitched layered dies and the ribbon ... and actually everything about this card xx

Such a cute card Kathryn. I love it, in fact, when I came to your blog I could hear my internal voice saying "Awwww". Its so cute. Love your colouring of the little kangaroo and your layering of stitched shapes. Great idea to leave it without a sentiment - its ready and waiting. You are amazing to fit so much into your life. xxx

A really lovely card Kathryn and I love that you have left the sentiment off until you know what you might use it for. I love the Kangaroo and the layering behind it. Just gorgeous!

Kathryn, you have been SO busy but still managed to share this gorgeous card with us - well done you. This is such a beautiful card for a new baby or a little ones birthday. Thank you for the inspiration. I love this colour, it’s so soft and pretty.

I love even when you are busy you still make time to create and join in! Great idea of leaving blank space to make a baby card or a "insert age" card.

Aww, your card is so sweet! The little kanga looks adorable. I agree that it would be perfect for either a new baby or a little person.
