Stampin' Up! Colour Discovery - Pretty Peacock
February 24, 2021
Hi there,
This week I have been frantically preparing for uni to start next week - I even went into RMIT today to collect a stack of gorgeous materials (hey, all art and craft materials are gorgeous, right??) for my Wednesday class. While the majority of our learning will still be online this year, I am SO excited to start back as the class descriptions this year are AWESOME!!
So, with tomato harvest coming to the fore this week, and the inundation of emails and class schedules for uni, I really lost time to create any new cards for my weekly exploration of the Stampin' Up! colours.
However, that doesn't mean I haven't got anything to share with you!
This week's colour is the beautiful, rich Pretty Peacock and I found this lovely card and matching envelope on stampinpretty.com which is Mary Fish's blog. I love her style. This card can easily be re-created with our current Pretty Peacock Designer Series Paper and the beautiful "Posted for You" bundle which includes a postage stamp punch - WHO doesn't need one of those in their life?
I also found this beautiful card.
This shows how lovely Pretty Peacock is as a bold background, with beautiful Gold Foil Card cut with the Detailed Bands dies to form a frame for a white embossed sentiment. I think the different layers in this card are just exquisite and I am so glad Stampin' Up! has talented concept artists to share such lovely ideas with us.
I also fell in love this cute card. The In The Pines bundle is no longer available, but we have a lot of different pine tree stamps in various stamp sets, so this card can easily be re-created with a slightly different pine tree stamp. How beautiful is that Pretty Peacock sky with the watered down Craft White Ink spattered over it? I love it!
I have some dear friends who have been working with Pretty Peacock this week. If you'd like to see what they created, all of their links are over on Cathy's blog here.
See you soon!
Kathryn Ruddick
Kathryn, as always - you are amazing - to find lovely Pretty Peacock cards and write a blog in the midst of preparing for Uni and harvesting your bountiful produce from your garden. Xxx

You my friend are amazing to write something with everything going on. I hope that the prep for Uni goes well and that the start back is too! Love the Mary Fish card too. Prof. D is allowed back into the office once again now so will be going in tomorrow. I look forward to seeing more or your harvest from your garden xx
