Colour Creations Showcase - Mossy Meadow

Hi there, it's Kathryn here!

How's your run into Christmas going after this crazy year we've been having?

AWH Colour Creations Blog Header

Week 29 and our last Colour Creations Showcase for 2020 includes a beautiful Christmas Colour, so I had every intention from the start to make this week's card an inspiring Christmas card using this versatile staple colour - Mossy Meadow.

I have been making lots of bright cheery Real Red and Garden Green cards with bold images using the Tag Buffet Project kit, so when I pulled out Mossy Meadow card stock and ink pad, I decided I wanted a more elegant and toned down card.

I am also in the process of using up all of last year's Christmas products and that includes the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley which is still available.. My card is actually a new version of some I did last year which were inspired by Linda Dalke.

The lovely pine tree stamp comes from the Most Wonderful Time stamp set and is stamped with 2nd and 3rd generation stamping (ie, keep stamping without reinking to get the depth of the forest).

The deer is a printed die-cut piece from the Product Medley popped up on dimensionals, and the greeting stamp is from Perfectly Plaid stamp set stamped with Soft Suede ink.

The Crumb Cake panel is layered onto Mossy Meadow using Dimensionals, then this is layered onto Whisper White which is layered onto the Mossy Meadow Base Card.

The inside is decorated in a similar manner.

I loved using the deer die-cuts from the kit, I could never stamp them with such a beautiful subtle colour!

Well, if you would like to see how our other creative friends have used Mossy Meadow, please hop over to Cathy's blog where she has all the links. Don't forget to leave a comment - we love to hear what you think!

See you again on 6th of January for Night of Navy.

Really beautiful, Kathryn. I love the cluster (copse?) of trees as a gorgeous backdrop for the deer (I agree, those die cuts are awesome!), and the rustic yet elegant look of your card.

Tina Gillespie

Such a lovely, elegant card, Kathryn! The trees look amazing and are the perfect background for the sweet deer.

Michele Taylor

Great use of Mossy Meadow with those pretty trees stamped together behind that gorgeous deer. This Product Medley was such amazing value with the amount of product to create with. I still have lots left over too!

You have finished the inside off to the same lovely finish as the front is, lovely, Kathryn.

I love the 2nd and 3rd generation of stamping of the trees behind the reindeer and inside the card as well.
