Colour Creations Showcase - Mint Macaron

Hey there! It's Kathryn here, welcoming you back to another Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase!

AWH Colour Creations Blog Header

I'm kind of disappointed that this week is Mint Macaron, as my gorgeous niece's long awaited wedding is next week and one of her wedding colours is Mint Macaron . . .  so I have been making stuff that I CAN'T SHOW YOU!! Aaaghhhh!!

However, I decided that since none of my family ever looks at my blog, I could pop in a little sneak-peek . . . LOL

Forever Blossoms Mint Macaron Double Zig Zag Card Stampin' Up! using Ornate Labels, and Ornate Borders Dies

Whatever you do, don't tell!

I have been putting together this double Zig Zag fold card using Mint Macaron prints from a couple of different packs of Designer Series Paper, and Soft Sea Foam Card stock.

I've used the Mint Macaron & Gold Foil embossed paper from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper and two other Mint Macaron Copper & Gold Foil embossed sheets from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Paper (in the Aug-Dec Mini catalogue).

I've also used some of my favourite ever fluffy vellum - the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper - such a nice luxurious addition to any project.

I've actually not finished the inside yet - it has a secret flap that lifts up so there are two places to write - and I think I need to stamp some more flowers and leaves for that. The stamped images are all from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.

Do you like how nice the Plush Poinsettia vellum looks layered over the top of Mint Macaron cardstock?

This card is so elegant and luxurious, Kathryn ... a special gift in itself! Beautiful use of Mint Macaron, for this oh-so-special occasion.

Tina Gillespie

My goodness! What an absolute work of art! It looks so pretty, and I'm sure that the happy couple will treasure it forever.

Kate Morgan

Okay, that is a work of art! I also tried something similar for this week, but I couldn't get my folds at the right measurements and gave up. You have perfected it and added some extra special fancy die cutting on the top edges, amazing. You go girl!!!

Caroline Manwaring

Such a special card for a wonderful occasion, Kathryn. Lots of lovely Mint Macaron features. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Catherine Proctor

Oh wow, Kathryn this is such a special card. I'm sure your niece will absolutely love this! Love the flocked vellum - it looks amazing. Thank you for inspiring us all with your Mint Macaron Creation this week xx

Ros Davidson

The card is gorgeous. I hope your niece (and her partner love it) and her wedding was amazing.
