AWH Colour Creations - Crumb Cake
August 19, 2020
Welcome back to week 12 of the Art With Heart team Colour Creations Showcase.
This week we are showing off one of the staple colours in the Stampin' Up! range. This is a colour you can't do without!
At the start of this year, I had planned out classes for Term 1 and Term 2 for a local community centre. Thanks to Covid19 those classes were all cancelled, but I still have baskets of supplies sitting here all prepped for what should have been the first class in the middle of March.
These cards were designed around the use of Crumb Cake card, and feature just ONE stamp set - Very Versailles.
These cards are really simply collage stamped with a couple of layers of other stamped pieces. Lack of embellishment makes them very economical to make lots of cards and the collage stamping makes a really simple production line. So if you are wanting to make a stack of say 10 cards at once, this design is a great one to try.
I think one thing I really love about Crumb Cake is that while it gives a nice soft vintage look to projects, it also makes the Very Vanilla card really pop - it stands out so fresh and clean in contrast. And the Crumb Cake being a light neutral can go with most colours enhancing rather than detracting from them.
I would love you to leave a comment for me AND come back next week to see what I do with Crushed Curry.
If you would like to see the other Crumb Cake Creations, please go to Cathy's blog here to see what our talented team members have been making.

Kathryn your vintage vibe is spot on with these feminine and oh so pretty cards. It's a great colour combination too. Thank you for inspiring us all with your crumb cake creation!

Very Versailles is a wonderful stamp, always gives a good result. I really like the colours you've chosen for the cards, particularly the Mint Macaron version.

Lovely cards Kathryn. I love your vintage style cards with the Very Verailles set. Gorgeous. i'd forgotten how great Very Vanilla is with Crumb Cake. Your students are really blessed to make special cards like these - you will just need to prepare another card pack when classes begin again. xxx
