Social Stamping - Sunshine!

Social Stamping Sunshine

It's time for another Social Stampers Blog Hop!

When my friend Kelly said this week's theme would be Share Sunshine, I didn't hesitate to join in! The first thing that pops into my head when I think of sharing sunshine is bright bunches of daisies.  I just love seeing gardens full of daisies with their faces turned to the sun. I am going to have a garden full of daisies one day!

Share Sunshine 1 (1)

I really love that we currently have two Daisy stamp sets and two daisy punches in our Stampin' Up! catalogue!

I have left Delightful Daisy on the shelf this time and selected Daisy Lane to use. And I've used a whole mix of retiring, carrying over and NEW products!

I wonder if you can pick them?

Share Sunshine 1 (2)

For the greetings on my cards I have selected two different ones from the Share Sunshine Product Giveback pdf that Stampin' Up! has produced as a wonderful way to raise money for two charities who are working on the front line of containing and finding a vaccine and cure for Covid19.

100% of the purchase price of the pdf goes to the charities. You can get the pdf here.

Share Sunshine 1 (3)Don't forget to decorate the inside of your projects!!! See that sneaky daisy!

For my second card I have used the same daisies stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White, but this time I have thrown a little curveball into the mix. Can you pick it?

Share Sunshine

Yes! This time I have used a brand new paper from our demonstrator pre-order for the new catalogue which is coming in June. The gorgeous, delicate Misty Moonlight coloured Designer Series Paper I have used for the front layer on this card is from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper Stack and is part of the extensive Flowers For Every Season collection.

The fancy fold on this second card is quite easy. I have made dozens of cards with this fold. I haven't included instructions because if you google "Pop & Swing Card" you will find stacks of tutorials and videos.

You can see all the rest of the products I have used by scrolling down toward the bottom of this post. In the meantime, there are LOTS of other bloggers sharing sunshine today and you may find the full list of them at Kelly's post here .

Retiring In Colors

Freshly BrewedTime for another Wednesday Freshly Brewed Blog Hop. These blog hops are tiny, just a handful of people, so it's perfect for a quick visit around to gather some ideas. This week we are farewelling the retiring In Colors - five new colours come out each year and stay in our range for 2 years. When the new catalogue goes live on June 3rd, our current five colours from the 2018-2020 catalogues will be gone and we will have 5 new ones.

Today I am focussing on just one of these colours -the much loved Blueberry Bushel.

Blueberry Bushel2

I have used Blueberry Bushel as the foundation colour for a couple of cheerful cards showing off the Birthday Bonanza Suite AND the Share Sunshine pdf.

That's right, the greetings are from a pdf Stampin' Up! created in response to the Covid19 pandemic. 100% of proceeds from the sale of the pdf go to 2 charities which are working on the ground to fight the virus and find a vaccine.

Blueberry Bushel3

The greetings in the pdf containe a combination of funny / serious sentiments, and also a good variety of coloured images, not just black and white.

I know a lot of my stamping friends will be sad to see Blueberry Bushel go out of our range - it's such a useful colour!

Mothers Day Cards

Freshly BrewedA new blog hop for me tonight, joining in with a just a couple of my very clever stamping friends to bring you some gorgeous inspiration.  The theme this week is Mother's Day, but this one is a bit of a double whammy because last week we got to know which products were retiring from our current Stampin' Up! catalogue and not carrying over into the new one in June.

So I have used a stamp set that I have had almost since it first came out - and it's never seen ink . . . . !!! And now it's retiring. I truly can't actually believe it! But, better late than never right?

The stamp set is Tea Together and I have used the two Mother's Day stamps, one on the cover and one inside.

I have teamed it with Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder - one of my favourites!

And Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. The base card is Gray Granite, with a layer of thin Whisper White.

Parisian Blossoms Stampin Up (1)

I've also introduced another favourite product into this card - our vellum cardstock. Not only have I stamped the Forever Blossoms on to it, but I have used vellum for the main base layer - that gorgeous textured pink layer.

The flowers are stamped using Basic Gray Classic Ink. The embossed vellum is sponged on the reverse side with Rococo Rose Ink.

Parisian Blossoms Stampin Up (2)

The greeting is stamped in Basic Gray and the label die is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. There is a Basic Gray fancy die cut layer and a few gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones finish the front.

Parisian Blossoms Stampin Up (4)

I couldn't leave the inside blank, so I added more die cut and sponged vellum flowers and leaves and an extra strip of the Basic Gray Border die cut.

Parisian Blossoms Stampin Up (3)

Most of the elements are adhered with mini glue dots.  You can see thumbnails of the supplies at the bottom of this post, and please let me know what you think by leaving a comment xx

I'm the final blog in the group, so if you started with me and want to see the rest, click on the next button below to be taken to Leonie's blog from where you can continue on the blog hop.
