ESAD 2020 Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Hello and Happy New Year!

Today I am joining in with my ESAD sisters to bring you some lovely samples using Stampin' Up! products from the brand new Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration.  The catalogues both started on 3rd January and as demonstrators we were blessed to be able to have a bit of a play over November and December with our pre-order and products we received at On Stage (our annual Stampin' Up! get together).

If you have arrived here from another blog in the Blog Hop, welcome! If you are starting here and don't even know what a blog hop is, just click on the arrow at the bottom of my story, read the next one, click on the arrow at the bottom of that one to go to the next, etc etc until you do a full circle! It's easy - and you will get such good inspiring ideas!

When we arrived at On Stage in November, there was a very red tinged theme to the lighting and decor - no, not at all like the red tinged skies, the fire and heat experienced over our devastated country these last several months.

Our On Stage red tinge was . . . "poppies, poppies, poppies" . . .  so it came as little surprise when we received the new Mini Catalogue that it has many beautiful poppy themed products.

On Stage

In fact, the Peaceful Poppies product suite has SO MANY gorgeous products in it, that I've hardly used anything else out of the new catalogue yet! All I've been making is Poppy projects!

Peaceful Poppies Bundle (1)

For this first card I have teamed the Peaceful Poppies Dies and Peaceful Moments stamp set with consumable products from an entirely different Product Suite - Parisian Blossoms.  This gorgeous suite has Champagne foil highlights featured in the Designer Series Specialty Paper, Champagne Rhinestones and glossy satin Petal Pink Metallic-edge Ribbon, all used in this card, along with Champagne Foil and Thick Whisper White card.

I definitely wanted to try different colour combinations of this same design and layout and my two other favourite colours of the moment for gentle subtle cards and Crumb Cake and Purple Posy.

Peaceful Poppies Bundle (3)Instead of ribbon under the label, for the Crumb Cake card I used the Crumb Cake Twine from the Nature's Twine pack (in the Annual Catalogue).  The designer series paper on the left hand side is from the 6"x 6" DSP sampler which is currently an extra gift with your starter kit for those who join the Stampin' Up! family during Sale-a-bration.

The flowers and leaves are die cut from Sahara Sand Card stock and gently sponged parts of them with Crumb Cake ink. The background panel is stamped using the Birch background stamp on Crumb Cake. The base card is Sahara Sand.

Peaceful Poppies Bundle (2)

The Purple Posy card also uses a small strip of Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration Starter Kit sampler gift.  As the Purple Posy ink pad has been withdrawn from the market forever due to instability with the ink quality, instead of sponging some of the areas of the die cut flowers, I used the Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blend to darken some areas.

I chose Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon to layer under the label on this card.

I have listed all the products below if you want to double check which ones I used.
