AWH Boxes & Bags Blog Hop
November 28, 2019
Hey and welcome!
Who doesn't like cute packaging and even cuter little gift bags?
The Art With Heart Team are back with another inspirational Blog Hop. This month we are featuring Gift Bags and Boxes, just in time for the Christmas gift giving season. The bags and boxes featured are all made using current Stampin’ Up! products and any of our wonderful team members are happy to help you with the supplies you will need to reproduce these beautiful projects.
I'm starting by showing you some of the products I used to create my bags - because most of these products are not in our Annual Catalogue or in our Holiday Catalogue, so you may never have seen them.
I have chosen to open a pack of Magnolia Lane Bulk Designer Series Paper, and team it with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and Magnolia Lane Cards and More pack which are in the Experience Creativity Brochure. Other items I've used are listed at the end of this message.
I loved taking a stroll WAAAY down memory lane to recreate some cute gift bag ideas with these new products.
I chose the 2-5-7-11 Box which we made a LOT of back in around 2009, and the Crafty Hallet Box-in-a-Bag which we made stacks of in different papers in around 2013-2014. I always love revisiting these old designs with new paper!
The 2-5-7-11 Box is perfect for a cake of your favourite flavoured Olive Oil Handmade Soap to give as a gift, or half a dozen luxury chocolates.
For the box flap I used one of the label dies from the Detailed Bands Die set in the Annual Catalogue, threading the paper through the die, so as to only cut one edge of the paper. You can see that I also fussy cut the flowers and leaves with my Stampin' Snips and coloured them with Stampin' Blends.
The heavenly Crumb Cake ribbon is from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack in the Holiday Catalogue (p.47). This ribbon is SO soft and easy to tie - I just LOVE it! And for my second project, I actually coloured it with my Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend to tie it in closer to the colours in the bag.
This bag has Early Espresso cardstock as it's base, so it's perfect to fill with dark chocolates! In the past we always filled them with Note cards and at the moment in the new beginner catalogue we have the Magnolia Lane Cards & More pack which makes perfect cards to fit.

Kathryn I've never heard of the 2-5-7-11 Box or the the Crafty Hallet Box-in-a-Bag so they are both new to me and I will definitely be adding them to my list of boxes and bags to make! I love your projects but I specially love how you used your Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend to colour your ribbon - just genius, it works so very well xx

Great projects Kathryn. Both bags are so gorgeous- can’t decide which I like more - well except I have a weakness for dark chocolate- so couldn’t go by your bag filled with dark chocolates. Also, love your 2, 5, 7, 11 box. - will need to find the directions for this one. Thanks so much for your inspiration 💖
