We are sharing creative projects featuring Simple Stamping, which means our projects feature only paper, stamps and ink. It’s a great way to create a quick and easy card for new stampers or for when you need a card at short notice. I've chosen To A Wild Rose stamp set - because if you are not fond of Colouring In, this stamp set does it for you!

Yes, this is a two step (or even a 3 step) stamp set which has outline stamps, and also more solid images to fill in the colour.

For the first card I've stamped the outline of the rose in Merry Merlot ink, then stamped the "infill" stamps one with Rococo Rose and the second one with Merry Merlot, but stamped off on scrap paper first.  The leaf outlines were stamped with Pretty Peacock, then the infill stamp was also stamped with Pretty Peacock stamped off first.

This simple layer was then adhered to a Rococo Rose base card.

For a slightly stepped up version of this card, I stamped the rose and leaf outlines with Momento Black ink, then the "infill" colours with Rococo Rose, Merry Merlot and Pretty Peacock. What lovely colour combinations!

I added an extra layer of card to this one with a fine border of Pretty Peacock under the white layer, before adhering to the Rococo Rose base. I hope you like them!

Since the middle of April we have been seeing A LOT of projects with the new Bird Ballad bundle from Stampin' Up!

Demonstrators who went to On Stage events could order it early - and it seems like they ALL did! Clearly it's a much loved stamp set with beautiful coordinating Designer Series Paper.

One of my team members asked if we could make a little bird house at Team Night as she had seen some online. Definitely! Too cute!

Do you have in your stash of cutting dies, the Baker's Box Die which was in our catalogue a couple of years ago? That is what we used for the box - only we stretched to give us a taller bird house.

I would pop a piece of acetate inside the front of the box then fill it with chocolates or maybe a beautiful soy candle for someone special!

Daisies are such cheerful flowers - all sorts of daisies are my favourites!

So I was VERY happy to see the new Daisy Lane stamp set and a medium size daisy punch come in our new annual catalogue last month, to coordinate with the Daisy Delight stamp set and Large Daisy punch we already have in our range.

You know sometimes you receive a new stamp set and it seems like forever before you use it?  Well, not this time! I have already used the Daisy Lane bundle heaps - and I've only had it a couple of weeks!

I went for some non-traditional colours, including Seaside Spray, Basic Gray and Gray Granite for this little project.

This gorgeous seaweed design paper is from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper pack - I've sliced a sheet up and sponged the edges with Basic Gray.

Initially I planned the card as a landscape format, but once I'd gotten this far, I discovered it looked much better as a portrait card with the spray of daisies in the top left hand corner.

Isn't it so soft and lovely with the Seaside Spray blue and all the grey tones and that touch of dramatic black? I'm really pleased with it! Probably all I would do differently is maybe add some form of bling to the centres of the daisies. Haven't decided on those yet!

Don't you just LOVE a good rose stamp set? The newest one in my collection is from the Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 catalogue and is a 3 step stamp set called TO A WILD ROSE.  It's beautiful, and a dream to stamp with the Stamparatus.

And even better?

It has a coordinating set of dies to make cutting out easy!

Recently, many of us have been making "Floating Frames" cards using Glad Press'n'Seal - which in Australia we buy at Costco. It's a really wow factor technique and not that difficult, so long as you select bigger images, with matching dies and you have a bit of time up your sleeve for stamping and cutting and then arranging your layout.

I love the effect - and here's two cards I created using the one sample piece.  When you cut the "window" you end up with a second smaller piece you can put in the centre of a new card.

I'm looking forward to trying a new technique using the Press'n'Seal at next week's team night. What other kitchen products do you use in your stamping?
