Favourite Colour Combinations

ArtWH Fav Colour

It's another Thursday evening blog hop with my stamping friends on the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! Team and we are exploring our favourite Stampin' Up! colour combinations.

Choosing the right colour scheme can be essential to your design and with Stampin’ Up!s stunning collection, there are 50 colours to choose from. There’s sure to be some combinations that work really well together and you can take inspiration from.

If you are starting here, or if you've already been hopping through the blog roll, welcome. I would love you to leave a comment at the bottom before clicking on the arrow to go to the next blog. You can do a full circle of the blogs and come right back here, just by clicking the "Next" arrow at the bottom of each one.

Art With Heart July 2017

Recently I have been playing with the colour combination Night of Navy and Whisper White. These two are a power packed pair of colours on their own, but I LOVE how together they can be combined with nearly every other colour!

And one of the loveliest things to do is apply our favourite colour combinations to brand new Product Suites, or look at the colours in new packets of Designer Series Papers and discover gorgeous new colour combinations that you may not have thought of yourself.

I have loved experimenting with the Oh So Eclectic Product Suite which includes stamp set, framelits and beautiful Designer Series Paper, which really lends itself to Night of Navy and Whisper White base cards with a pop of colour.

Using Night of Navy and Whisper White as your base sure makes an elegant, bold statement, no matter which other colour you add to the mix.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave a comment and then it's time to continue on the blog hop to the blog of the very talented Andrea Roberts. Click on the arrow to go there.

Making Merry Monday#8

Hey there!

Can you believe its Monday again?

And its almost over! Just sneaking in a really quick Making Merry Monday.

IMG_20170724_211850_869

Our lovely Stamp Club ladies got to create a couple of Z-fold cards last week to compliment the other Be Merry Christmas Cards I had finished earlier.

They made an awesome display at our casual kiosk on Friday.

I'll be putting together some Christmas card stamp-a-stacks for coming weeks.

Let me know which weekday you can attend.

Cardmaking ideas for kids - #GDP095

As a member of Stampin' Up!'s Global Events Council team, I was delighted to get to play with prior and demonstrate the gorgeous Birthday Memories Suite of products at our demonstrator training day "On Stage" in April. Since then I have taught several classes using these super cute products, and they never fail to give gorgeous results!

Recently, I needed to do a really basic beginners class, and I switched to the Birthday Memories Suite again because it is so versatile for really easy kids card making ideas and projects.

Birthday Memories

These super simple and very economical cards are simple variations of the cards I showcased at On Stage, and my demonstrator friends will agree when I say how perfect these are to show to someone who is seeing card making, rubber stamping and papercraft for the first time.

Anyone can give these a go and create a fun card!

Birthday Memories 2

I don't often have time to participate in online cardmaking challenges, so I was very stoked to realise that my recent card class fitted right in with this week's Global Design Project theme #GDP095 - kids! Thanks Kylie and crew! It's so nice to share the love of our amazing Stampin' Up! products, and be inspired by the talented members of the GDP team and other participants.

If you haven't got your hands on these gorgeous products yet, click on any of the icons below to order today.

New Stampin' Up! Favourites

ESAD Favourites July 2017

Time to share some more love from the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. It's just over a month old now, and my Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends on the Facebook Group ESAD are loving it! So tonight we are sharing the love with you!

You may have arrived here from the blog of Maree McIntosh, or you may be starting here, either way, welcome!

I've chosen to work on some Christmas in July projects - it always seems that way as the new catalogue always starts just when I am about to start planning those fun wintertime events, so I was very pleased to see the gorgeous new product suite, BE MERRY in the catalogue.

Be Merry Stampin' Up!

Before I go ahead and show you my projects, just in case you are wondering what ESAD is . . .

ESAD Description

I loved having a play with the Merry Mistletoe Stamp Set and the Be Merry Designer Series Paper and to get myself started, I decided to CASE one of the cards on page 112 of the catalogue. You can see I changed it a little, leaving out the vellum layer but schoozing up the banner label.

Be Merry Stampin' Up3

Creating this card left me with two leftover strips of the DSP which loaned themselves beautifully to a simple white on white card, with a jazzy label. I've used the very yummy new Dynamic Embossing Folder "Ruffled" on the top white layer - but unfortunately in our blue grey winter daylight it's a bit hard to capture in a photo!

Be Merry Stampin' Up4

This got my mojo really happening and I started playing around with another half a dozen fun simple cards using the stamps and Designer Series Paper. None of these are stuck down yet, I want to incorporate the Boxwood Wreaths and the Cherry Cobbler Stitched Ribbon, but you can see the track I am taking - and I just have to say, I am SO loving the traditional Christmas colours!

I can't wait to finish them off, but in the meantime, please leave some comment love in the comments section and then you could continue on the blog hop to the blog of Rosalie Desmond by clicking on the next arrow.
