Happy New Year!
January 07, 2016
I hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all the very best for 2016.
As some of you know, I was away in England for a couple of weeks experiencing my first very cold (but not White) Christmas with family. It was lovely to experience life in a small English village and to see the amazing Christmas decorations and all the wondrous displays in the shops.
These utterly gorgeous, larger than life reindeer were set up in the garden at Aston Pottery and I think I definitely need some of these for our front garden!
This extremely old and fragile nativity scene was set up beautifully in an even older amazing barn - the 800 year old Great Coxwell Barn. So beautiful!
Each model stood over a metre high, and they were very detailed. They don't make things like they used to!!
And how is this delightful Christmas tree in front of that darling old (restored beautifully) barn?
I arrived home in time to have my family Christmas on New Year's eve and Tony's family Christmas on New Year's Day, so I am a bit slower than everyone else in packing up Christmas and throwing myself into the new year. However, I did "undress" the tree yesterday with help from my darling little white friend who missed me terribly while I was away - at least, she had cuddles ALL day the day I got back and has gone back to ignoring me ever since - except when the tinsel came off the tree.
Isn't she just too cute! She has been guarding the tree quite noticably - with a look on her face which says, "They are my presents, hands off!". She hid under the bed when the family was all here, but came out later and stalked around the tree with some look on her face!
Today when I put the tree out on the front verandah to go in the green bin, she sat at the front door sniffing and sniffing, like she knew I had taken away her latest toy!
I hope you had as exciting a Christmas as she did!
What have I got planned for the New Year?
Well, there's lots happening right now! Sale-a-bration - our biggest promotion of the year started on Tuesday, along with our new (very gorgeous) Occasions Catalogue. Later this month I am going to be at Chirnside Park shopping centre for our regular kiosk appearance, however this month and next are slightly different and quite special!
This month our booking coincides with the Chirnside Park Twilight Market, so we will be there ALL DAY Thursday 21st until 9pm AND we will be there again all day Friday - two full-on days of card-making and meeting the lovely local people.
We will repeat that again in February with the Twilight Market on Thursday 25th and following it with our normal day on Friday 26th February.
Because I've been away, I haven't had much of a play with new products from the new catalogue or Sale-a-bration, but I have loved seeing what my fellow demonstrators have been creating with their pre-order products. There are lots of suites of products this time around, which is delightful as it gives you such amazing coordination options. One of my favourites is the Botanical Gardens Suite.
How much fun are those lovely rainforest images and funky colours?
I am definitely going to be having a play with that over the next few days!
If you'd like a close up look at the Botanical Gardens Suite of products, click here. The stamp set, framelits and Designer Series Paper are all available in a 15% off coordinating bundle.
If you order the gorgeous bundle and add one more small item bringing the product total to $90 you can choose any FREE Sale-a-bration item to go with your order. There is a super cute Vellum Paper stack that coordinates with the Botanical Garden Suite.
Need help with that, or want to see a hardcopy of the catalogues? Send me a message on 0418 361 931 or leave a comment below.
See you soon with ink on your fingers!

Hi Kathryn, Just found your blog whilst browsing Pinterest. Interested to note that you spent Christmas in UK. Well I currently live in Cyprus but my 'home, where my heart is' is Oxfordshire, England. My hubby and I also returned to UK for Christmas and Aston is about 10 miles from where our daughter lives and where we stayed. Small world Eh? I think the old barn is the little coffee shop at Thrupp (alongside the canal) we were a short walk from there along the canal.
Off for a longer browse of your blog now.
