About a week ago, a card by US demonstrator Debbie Mageed popped up in my Facebook feed and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to recreate it in a Christmas version.

So using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and the new Merry Moments Designer Series Paper - along with returning favourite Festive Trees stamp set, I created this while on our casual kiosk at Chirnside Park shopping centre last week. I just love it!

How did I get the Floral Frames dies to cut the edges with those folds? Very easy following Debbie's straight forward instructions.

I'm hosting a great big Christmas in July event soon and have been making lots of goodies for it, so I also wanted to show you today my advent calendar. This one is made from the Tiny Treats boxes. They are so cute, so easy to assemble and you get 25 food safe boxes in a pack for only $12.25.

This is what the stack of boxes looked like with just the ribbon decoration added - don't we have the yummiest ribbons in the Stampin' Up! catalogue? Have you felt how soft those Striped Grosgrain ones are?

But you probably want to see the finished boxes right?

Christmas in July Event

You are warmly invited to a fun, festive afternoon of Christmas Papercrafting. 

Get a start on your Christmas cards and be inspired with gorgeous gift tags and pretty packaging.

Several Stampin' Up! demonstrators are getting together to share their talents, project ideas and displays so you will be more inspired, get heaps of ideas and go home with a bag full of completed projects to give your Christmas crafting a real head-start.

I'm always getting asked how do I watercolour, so today I wanted to show you just how easy watercolouring is, showing off the gorgeous flower stamp in the Stampin' Up! stamp set Awesomely Artistic - there are pretty much just three easy steps.

Step 3.  I chose Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks and came back with the blender pen to add some depth and shading to really make those flowers and leaves jump off the page.

These projects were inspired by one I saw on Pinterest about 6 weeks ago, by Tricia Raineri, another Australian Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I copied Tricia's sketch and changed the colours for some variety.

One of my very favourite things about this time of year is what's flowering in the garden, and this year is no different. Every time I walk out my back door to go to my stamping room, or to pick some winter vegies out of our garden, I am greeted by glorious Daphne!

I was pondering what other ways I could colour the flowers in the Awesomely Artistic stamp set, and it suddenly hit me! It looks like Daphne!

So out came the Rose Red ink pad and blender pens, and this time for the leaves I did a gentle (think, very light-handed here) combination of Cucumber Crush and Old Olive for the leaves.

It doesn't look exactly like Daphne, but you can see the colour inspiration!

I decided on the same sketch for the first one, but changed it up a bit for the second "Daphne" card.

On the second sample, the background leaves are stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink, but I stamped it off onto scrap paper first, before stamping onto my base card.
