Stampin' Up! at Girls Only Festival
October 15, 2013
This weekend just gone my team and some of our lovely demonstrator friends had the only craft stand at the Melbourne Girls Only Festival (GO Show).
We set up the Stampin' Up! stand on Friday afternoon.
We're lucky we don't have tonnes of shelving and stock to set up and display. We just make our posters of card and scrapbook projects in the weeks leading up to the show and on the day we come in and velcro them to the walls!
Here's the poster I made using the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and matching Framelits.
I'm sorry it's not the best quality photo, but the lighting in the stand and using one's mobile phone to take the pic is never going to make a great photo!
I will share close up photos of some of the cards over the next few days.
Oh, and what do we do on the stand?
That's right! We do what we LOVE!!
Thanks Alison Douglas for sneaking in this action shot of me giving someone a lecture about how to stamp! LOL
At the GO Show we had three prizes of Stampin' Up! products to give away. The draw has taken place and I am very pleased to be able to announce the winners! Drum Roll Please!!
Prize three went to Danielle from Sydenham!
Prize two goes to Isabella from Kinglake!
And the major prize (an enormous hamper of Stampin' Up! goodies) goes to - wait for it . . .
Stacey from Cranbourne! Woohoo! And Congratulations everyone!!
You will be contacted in the next day or two to arrange for us to either drop off or post your parcel of goodness to you!
We had a lovely weekend - very different from our Craft Shows which we normally do, and for which we are also preparing.
We'll be at the Caulfield Stitches and Craft Show from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th October. I'll be on the stand on Thursday and Saturday and this year we are running a Make & Take Class at 12noon each day. Its a 50minute class in the Make & Take Classrooms, and you need to book at the stand before the class.
I do hope to see you there, or at our Create, Care and Share event on November 9th at Mulgrave.
See you in the next couple of days with lots of lovely card creations!
Kathryn
