Day Two - Twelve Days of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me, the Caulfield Craft and Sewing Show!!

Oh my goodness! Did I, or didn't I, spend half of September and October making projects and posters and frantically getting ready for what has to be the biggest four days of our year!

Genna Gifford and I shared the Stampin' Up! stand at the show with our teams and we both did two days each at the actual show, which several of our team members did too. What an exhausting, exhilirating, inspiring time!

Each demonstrator taking a day on the stand had to provide a poster of cards on some sort of theme, a demonstration and hopefully some 3D items and scrapbook layouts for the displays. Everyone put in such a massive effort and the stand looked terrific.  We had such amazing feedback from all the lovely people who stopped by to chat to us - if you were one of them, thanks so much for visiting us!

Here I am demonstrating a spot of watercolouring - one of my favourite techniques!

My lovely mother Jenny helped out on the stand this year - what a treasure she is - and everyone loved her demonstration with the Elegant Bird Die!

Preparing for the show was an awesome time to make stacks of new Christmas items and try some of the fabulous products in the Holiday Traditions Catalogue. The lead up to the show was such a creative time, and it was wonderful to see what all the ladies created - they are all so talented!

I do have some close up photos of that tree and tags which I will share with you later in this Twelve Days of Christmas Series, but come back tomorrow for some of that watercolouring I was telling you about!

See you then, Kathryn x

Twelve Days of Christmas!

Hi Everyone!

Well, I bet you thought I had dropped off the planet??  No such luck!  I have just had my busiest September, October, November EVER!!! And you know how sometimes in your life, you just have to let something go?  Well, it had to be my blog! I couldn't stop work and I couldn't stop the renovations and gardening happening out the back, and I sure couldn't put a hold on Catalogue Launch parties, Christmas Extravaganza's, Craft Shows, interstate stamping days, Christmas classes and markets and all the myriad other things that have been happening!

I have created SO many new projects over the last few months for all of these events, and photographed heaps of them to share with you, but do your think I could find time to actually download them onto my computer, edit them, resize them and then log in here to share them with you? No Sir-ree!! Not a chance! But finally some of this years frenetic activity seems to be wrapping up, and I have been really dying to show you some of what's been going on, so over the next few days (12 in fact) I am going to bring you a wrap up of just some of the things I have been making and doing.

Back in October I had a wonderful afternoon of stamping with 23 ladies at my Christmas Extravaganza. One of the projects we created was a decorated box and four co-ordinating cards, using the Stampin' Up! Kraft Gift Boxes (page 161 of our Annual Catalogue) and the new Core'dinations card stock from the Holiday Traditions Catalogue.

Broadsheet Alphabet Christmas Box

I picked out the ink and card stock colours using the Designer Series Paper as a guide, and selected short, three and four letter words that related to Christmas, which the girls then had to stamp in various colours, and punch out with the square punch.

Broadsheet Alphabet Christmas Card

We've used the Broadsheet Alphabet Stamp set, along with Jolly Bingo Bits, and Merry Minis Stamp Set and matching Punch Set.

The Designer Series Paper border on the box is from the pack Snow Festival and the embossing folder used on the card fronts is Woodgrain from the Holiday Catalogue.

I love these bright colours and the lovely textures!

I'll be back tomorrow with more photos from the very busy time I've been having! See you then!
