Today we remember 173 members of our community and countless pets and wild life whose precious lives were lost in one of the worst days in the history of our state.

So many left behind are still struggling to rebuild their lives, the landscape is still scarred - in many places irrepairably - and the rest of us will never forget what we were doing or where we were on that awful Saturday afternoon when the sky went black and the news started filtering through of what was happening to our family, friends and community.

Today we remember them . . .
