Friends Never Fade, Piece d'Resistance

And now, for the final rainbow conglomeration in my medley of Friends Never Fade cards - I just loved how they looked when I layed them all out together.

Sept 10 361a

There's a much bigger picture among my photos on my Facebook page - that's the katlo designs one, not the Kathryn Ruddick one . . .if you're on Facebook, make sure you check it out and when you're on the katlo designs page, click Like so you'll automatically receive updates.

Chocolate Chip Chic

I think Chocolate Chip will always be one of my most useful and loved colours, and I was so happy to see it included amongst the variety of colours in the Greenhouse Gala DSP pack - it's a real powerhouse colour, bringing all those other wild frivolous colours back to reality with a nice solid base!

Sept 10 358

It's just a go anywhere, do anything kind of colour - bit like the real thing - who needs an excuse to include chocolate in any occasion for any reason?!?!?!?

Hopefully by now I have also managed to convince certain triathletes amongst present company that now the World Champs is over, some delicious Parisian chocolat is not out of the question . . . and you know how I love to photograph divine desserts . . . I'll try to get some up here for you to drool over!

Bon Appetite!

So Saffron Sublime

Tomorrow we are off on the train from Paris, to take a lovely bicycle ride through the countryside and visit the home and garden of Claude Monet, one of my favourite artists ever . . . I am quite certain I will  find various shades of So Saffron among the blooms in the garden.

Sept 10 359

I can't wait to see the garden in real life and to be cycling along country lanes waving "Bonjour" to all I see! I should have bought myself a lovely floral print Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron frock so I could do it in style!

Certainly Celery Chic

These Friends Never Fade cards have to be called Chic, purely because I arrive in Paris today, and have already booked and paid for tickets to climb le tour Eiffel at 7.30 this evening . . .

How excited am I??

These are the Certainly Celery cards I made in my bunch of 12 using the Greenhouse Gala DSP. Love that Green!!

Sept 10 355

A close up of that one with the REAL RED shouting out from it - must be a French colours, it's so BOLD!

Sept 10 356

And another, just to give you a closer look at the marker direct to rubber technique - don't forget to "Huff" on it, in a very un-Parisian manner!

Sept 10 357

Well, I'm off to enjoy some galleries and museums! Catch you again soon with the So Saffron versions of the Friends Never Fade cards . . .

Friends Never Fade

Today I'd like to treat you to some Baja Beauties from Budapest - by the time you get this I will be in Budapest, but the joys of pre-setting blog posts will tell you that these little cards were actually made and photographed well before that!!

In fact, before I left, I had great fun playing with the gorgeous papers in the Greenhouse Gala DSP pack. It's full of designs and colours I would never have imagined, and they are so OUT THERE, I had to have a bit of a play! I've have made one card using each pattern of the dsp.  I'll show you the Baja ones today and be back later on with Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron - so look out for those ones in coming days!

Sept 10 354

I have used a left over scrap of last year's Pumpkin Pie ric rac on all of the cards, and inked up the stamp using Stampin' Write Markers. Very simple cards.

Cute by the Inch

I know you hate it when I show you hostess sets that you can't buy, but the thing is, it's soooo easy to earn them, and this one is an absolute must have in any serious stampers collection! It is so versatile and just too cute for words!

This project using "Cute by the Inch" Level 2 hostess set, was another project we made at the very fun catalogue preview afternoon.  I was inspired by this one by Jen Mitchell and we don't have the new Blushing Bride card or ribbon yet, but I think Melon Mambo was a good swap.

How cute are those little birds?  And there are 8 other very useful images in the set.

It's very easy hosting a workshop. All you have to do is invite a handful of friends, have a packet of biscuits for them to snack on, and tell them all you are going to have lots of fun!

Printed Petals Fancy Favour Box

Have you enjoyed browsing your new catalogue yet? Just wanted to show you some more cute projects from my catalogue preview afternoon.

New catty 1 (3)

I was inpsired for this little box by a similar project we made at Stampin' Up! Convention 2010.

New catty 1 (4)

It was nice to see my talented stamping friends doing their own variations of the same project, using both Printed Petals and the level 3 hostess set "Playful Pieces".

I am very excited about some of the embellishments that are available this year, such as the clear rhinestone brad shown here, packs of paper daisy's, adhesive jewels, antique brads and library clips. They are all on pages 138-140 of the new catalogue - yummmm!

Check in again soon for some more inspiration!

Of course, if you're only new here, you won't have a clue what I am talking about . . . it's the much anticipated arrival of the the brand new Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Ideas Book and Catalogue. Some of my stamping friends enjoyed a nice little preview afternoon last Saturday, playing with some new stamp sets, and I'd love to share what they made.

This new Designer Series Paper is called Greenhouse Gala, and it coordinates beautifully with "Friends Never Fade", a stunning 4 piece stamp set, which has been inked up here with Stampin' Write Markers.

This card with the Two Step Bird Punch and Greenhouse Gala DSP was made by Mary.

Don't you just love how the colours and shapes all coordinate so easily?

All the guests at my catalogue preview afternoon, also got to make this sweet little card and matching envelope using the Petal Prints stamp set - this was a project we made at the Stampin' Up! Convention back in May.
