Colours, colours, beautiful colours!

One of the things that I most love about Stampin' Up! is the colours.  Apart from the stamps, this was one of the main influencing reasons that I joined SU! as a demonstrator.  I adore the colours, and I love how the ink pads, card stock, papers, ribbons and accessories are all colour co-ordinated in four really easy to use colour families, with a few neutrals to complete the palette, and new in-colours each year to give us variety.

Well, I had a pretty exciting April (as you may have guessed) but tucked in there, amongst all the invitations, placecards, cars, flowers and interstate guests, was another reason to be pretty excited.  Stampin' Up! have made an announcement I would never have even dreamed of - and it's totally cool!

There is going to be a COLOUR RENOVATION!  Yes, after more than two years of research and careful planning, when the new Stampin' Up! catalogue comes out on the first of September, there will have been a complete overhaul of the colour families - and the four new Colour Collections are gorgeous, take a look yourself by downloading the chart below.

This of course means, that some colours will be retiring - which is sad, but "Out with the Old, In with the New!!  Here's the link to download the colours that will be farewelled.

If you'd like a printed chart to insert in your current catalogue, please let me know, and I will get one to you.  You may like to go through your current Classic Stampin' Pads and check which ones you don't have re-inkers for, as these are bound to be very popular in the next month or two, and you may wish to stock up on your favourite colours before they retire.  Re-inkers are $5.95 each or $54.95 for a set of 12 in your favourite colour family.

Beautiful Blogger Award

I have to confess, I have been procrastinating . . . the gorgeous Robyn from Rainbows by Robyn awarded me this :

Beautiful_blogger_award

a couple of weeks ago, and while I am absolutley chuffed at receiving it, part of the prize it to tell you 10 things about myself - really, 10 things!!  I have taken so long to try and think of 10 things, that in the meant time, the extremely talented and inspiring Sue Madex, who also happens to be counted in my group of extremely good stamping friends, also awarded me the same prize - does that mean I need to tell you 20 things about myself??

Well, let's make a start :

1) As you already know, 3 weeks ago yesterday, I married the extremely smitten and wonderful Tony Ruddick, owner of AJR Automotive - a very good mechanic!

2) Three days a week I work in accounts payable for the M80 (Tulla Sydney) upgrage project - the office is in Tullamarine which is about 50kms from home and takes well over an hour most days.

3) I started running this year so I could do Run 4 the Kids, a 14.5km fun run, which I did, and I love it and I am now a converted runner!!  (But don't ask me to race as that totally takes the word FUN out of Fun Run)

4) I love taking photos - especially macro shots of flowers and insects, but also anything OLD

5) I am descended from TWO first fleeters, Nathaniel Lucas and Olivia Gascoigne who helped build this country on blood, sweat and tears.

6) I worked in Commerial, Industrial Real Estate for about 8 years, specialising in Human Services businesses and developments

7) I spent 14 months travelling around Australia in 1998 - 1999 - it changed my life. Everyone should go Outback and to the Kimberley.

8) I was born in and completed all my education to the end of Year 12 in Tassie - it will always be home.

9) I have a Certificate IV in Business Administration, an Associate Diploma in Art & Design and am looking at starting a degree course in the same - or maybe I will veer off completely left of centre, as Swinburne offer a Diploma of Sustainability Design, and that could just have my name on it too!

10) I totally love Paris and ANYTHING French!!
